Infosession on Erasmus+ opportunities in education as part of the panel discussion at the International Scientific and Practical Conference (12.06.2025, online)
On June 12, 2025, the National Erasmus+ Office (NEO) in Ukraine team participated in a panel discussion as part of an International Scientific and Practical Conference and held presentation on the opportunities within the EU Erasmus+ Programme in the field of education. The online event brought together about 50 participants, including young researchers, students, and HEIs staff aiming to strengthen international cooperation and their professional capacity.
The keynote speaker, Kateryna ZHDANOVA, Senior Manager of NEO in Ukraine, provided a detailed overview of the Erasmus+ Programme architecture for 2021–2027, focusing on tools for the development of higher education. Participants were introduced to key mobility actions (Key Action 1), cooperation and capacity-building projects (Key Action 2), as well as opportunities under the Jean Monnet actions. The speaker emphasized that the Programme serves as a strategic resource for supporting the Ukrainian academic community during martial law and remains a vital factor in integrating into the European Education Area.
Special attention during the presentation was paid to the practical steps of participation: from the organizational registration procedure and obtaining PIC & OID codes to navigating the main document of the Programme — the Programme Guide. Kateryna Zhdanova provided clear recommendations on implementing cross-cutting priorities — such as inclusion, digital transformation, and environmental sustainability — as essential components of a successful project application for the 2026 calls.
The panel discussion served as a platform for live dialogue, where university representatives received answers to pressing questions, ranging from the specifics of searching for European partners to mechanisms for recognizing international mobility learning outcomes. The event underscored that the synergy between scientific activity and international educational initiatives is the foundation for the sustainable development of Ukrainian higher education institutions.
